ListBOOM: 4 flash games on the internet

When I was ten, I discovered the depraved world of the Useless Internet with ebaumsworld.com To my ten-year old mind, ebaumsworld had the most important things on the internet - everything I ever used the internet for: optical illusions, jokes that would give my parents heart attacks, and... games.

On the internet, there's literally millions of flash games out there, not only found on ebaumsworld, but also on sites just for pointless games - addictinggames.com, newgrounds...

So, I thought I'd start off my ListBOOM series by featuring one of the main reasons why people use the internet.

So while you're taking up a computer in the campus library (ahem. there are people who have to do real work), wasting your time in the office, or killing hours in the privacy of your own home, here are the 20 best ways to go about your merry way:

Two arcade games:

In this "evolved whack a mole game", collect coins to buy more powerful hammers as you bash those cute little demon things. This game involves serious hand eye coordination as the demon pups get harder to kill, swapping their heads for bombs and stealing your coins.

Props for cuteness. The creators at EyezMaze have other, just as well designed, flash games, ranging from Tamogochi type time wasters to equally pointless yet entertaining puzzle games (or point and click).

Bonus: try using the row of numbers above qwerty and see how far you get.

Simple: click anywhere to create a circle and start a chain reaction as other circles collide into it. Try to get as many bubbles as possible.

With soothing background music by Tim Halbert, this is the kind of mind-numbing game you can play while you try to forget about the fact that it's 2am and you have to start a major project due the next day. It gives you that odd sort of satisfaction akin to popping bubblewrap and digging holes.

This game also politely tells you when you lose that "You failed to reach your goal." I'll try to maximize my productive output, then, in order to accomplish my objective.

Bonus: Submit your score. Currently, my highest is #160 from 161! Yeah!
    Two classic games

I know how many Mario Flash games there are online, but this one takes the cake. First off, it doesn't have gliches, which is nice. The controls are smooth - Mario practically slides through the screen. The graphics are realistic and you almost forget you're playing a flash game on a computer.

The classic cell phone game - Back when cell phones were two-tone green and black. With no f-ckin touchscreen. Flash animator Dan Neave (link) recreates this cell phone classic with a sleek finish.
